Fr Dr. Elias Daw was born in Rama (a village in Galilee) on the 10th of June, 1967. After graduating from high school he wanted to become a lawyer and went to France to study law. However, God had another plan for him; He wanted him to be a worker in His field. Fr. Elias did not hesitate to answer the call of the Lord and immediately gave up his own plans in order to fulfill God’s plan for him. Once his vocation was clear to him he moved to Rome to study Theology and Canon Law. He was awarded Philosophy B.A. degree in 1991 from Pontificia Universita S. Tommaso Angelicum in Rome. In 1994 he was awarded Theology B.A. from the same university. After that he studied Canon Law at Pontificum Institutum Orientalium in Rome and was awarded M.A. in Canon Law in 1996. He got PhD degree in Canon Law in 2002 at the same university. He was ordained on the 21st of September in 2002. Today Fr. Elias is the pastor of the Melkite parish in Der Hanna ( a village in Galilee). He is also the pastor of his own small personal parish, his family which consists of his wife, and his two beautiful daughters. |
